Committed customer for nearly 3 years, and I cannot start my day without my morning visit to City Place. When I started working around the corner, I was in search of a coffee shop to add to my new routine. A local's paradise, this family owned establishment serves fresh, tasty breakfast and lunch. I'm obsessed with the Moroccan soup options and NY bagels. At first glance, you might get " No soup for you" vibes, but this assessment is incorrect when you understand the volume of customers filing in. Step back and watch the flow of traffic and then jump in for a delicious and cost effective meal. My mornings are not complete without a caring smile and story from the owners.

I have been a loyal customer at City Place Cafe for over 8 years and it's just as good now as it was when I first visited. I have gotten a variety of items over the years for lunch and breakfast and everything is always so good. Some favorites are: the napoli panini, the Italian panini, the rustic sandwich, San Franciscan, and the buffalo chicken wrap. Their breakfast sandwiches are also very tasty. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You order at one desk and pay at the front, and can select any drinks or chips to go along with your meal. They also have a decent amount of outdoor seating, and there are also stools inside.

If you're near Farragut Square, this cafe is great for a quick breakfast. The person working the counter is super friendly and knows his regular customers. It's always a good sign when locals are going in and don't need to order. I ordered a coffee and the Za'atar Avocado Toast. Coffee was good, made with Lavazza beans and the Za'ater Avocado toast was delicious and also inexpensive. If the same was sold at one of those retail coffee shops, it would easily be double the price. Good food, good coffee, and reasonably priced; what's not to like about this place!

We loved this little sandwich shop so much we went back for a second time on our week-long trip to DC. I got a sandwich that had Brie and fig jam on a nice, crusty French bread on my first visit and a vegetarian panini on my second. My dining partner loved the Miami and got it both times. The sandwiches are well-made with quality ingredients, and the folks working here are very kind. The only thing to know in advance is that seating inside is really limited, so be prepared to take it to go if it's busy.

The mocha was a bit sweet but smooth and delicious. Had to get the bagel since our friend and neighbor back home in San Diego is always raving about "east coast bagels". It was good and got a good amount of cream cheese but it didn't taste any different than the bagels in San Diego!! Ha ha Service was fast, friendly and great. Some seating Inside. Breakfast is served till 1030.

Friendly little breakfast and lunch spot to grab a quick bite. I got oatmeal each morning as a gluten free option for breakfast. The add ons were a bit pricy if you chose a couple but the base price of the oatmeal was fair. Service was very friendly and welcoming I will be coming here again for breakfast when I'm in town.

We were looking for an inexpensive breakfast place within walking distance from our hotel. *They are closed Saturday and Sunday. Sandwiches and coffee were good. You choose the bread you want for your sandwich. They have other breakfast items if you dont want a sandwich. They also offer lunch. Service was quick.
